Productive Playhouse, a leader in data and language acquisition, is seeking talented and experienced writers to conduct quality control for translated documents. Writers (Internal Role: QC Writers) will edit and improve transcriptions of translated videos that would come in the form of Google Docs. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the English language and the rules of grammar, and can adeptly identify awkward and unnatural phrases and sentences and improve them accordingly. QC writers must be familiar with United States English and be able to apply United States English writing standards. Proofreading and editing translated documents to ensure factuality, proper grammar, and punctuation will be required. It is not necessary to be familiar with the language that is being translated. The length of time spent on each document may take anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours to complete, depending on the length of the transcript.

Requirements:

Education: Graduate or Undergraduate Degrees in creative writing, English language arts, linguistics, literature, rhetoric studies, composition studies, literacy studies.
Professional Experience: At least one year of relevant professional experience is required. Individuals with professional writing experience writing in the categories of biographies, business-related content, career resumes, career cover letters, code, programming, script, conversations, current events, pop culture, mathematics, data, statistics, education, electronics, facts, fiction, geography, health, medicine, history, humor, information technology, music, poetry, riddles, puzzles, science, short stories, and sports, are strongly encouraged to apply.
